The Studio
Blueberry NYC in Greenpoint. Built for getting it right, with room to try a few looks.
Most studio sessions happen at Blueberry NYC Studios, a full-service space at 649 Morgan Avenue, Suite 3C, Brooklyn, NY 11222, near Morgan and Nassau in the heart of Greenpoint. It’s their space rather than mine, and I book it the way any other photographer does.
Professional Profoto and Nanlite lighting, and seamless paper in every color: over thirty rolls plus fabric backdrops, racked and ready in the room. Tell me the color you want and it’s up before you arrive. Everything stays set up, so we spend the session on you rather than on gear.
The space
Hardwood, exposed brick, big windows, room to move, and a wall of seamless in every color. Have a proper look before you decide.
Shooting on location
Not every portrait belongs on seamless paper. Your office, a boardroom, a workshop, a venue, a rooftop, the street outside your building. The lighting travels, and a portrait made where someone actually works often says more about them than anything a studio can produce.
Location work suits teams and headshots done on site in a single visit, founders and executives who want their own space in the frame, editorial and brand work with a real sense of place, events, weddings, and food and drink shot where it’s made and served. The Editorial session is built around exactly this: studio first, then out into Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
Anywhere in New York City is straightforward, and I travel further for the right project. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll tell you honestly whether the studio or your own space will serve it better.
