Bride & Groom Checklist

Now that we've spoken and the date is held, these are the last things I need from you. None of it is urgent. Work through it in the weeks before the day and we'll go over anything unresolved at our final catch-up.

Before the day

• Confirm the venue address, and a second address if you're getting ready somewhere else
• Tell me what time I can get into each location, and who to ask for
• Send me the running order once your coordinator has it: ceremony, speeches, first dance, any surprises
• Let me know whether the venue needs a Certificate of Insurance, and who it should be addressed to
• Flag any restrictions: no flash during the ceremony, off-limits rooms, drone rules
• Confirm whether there's a second location for portraits, and whether we need transport between them

The people

• List the family groupings you want photographed, in the order you want them shot
• Name one person on each side who knows everyone and can round people up
• Tell me quietly about anyone who shouldn't be posed together
• Let me know if any guest travelled a long way or won't be at another family event

Your list

• Name your must-have shots, the ones you'd be upset not to have
• Send me any detail items you want photographed: rings, invitations, heirlooms, the dress hanging
• Tell me if there's a photograph of your parents' or grandparents' wedding you'd like recreated

Housekeeping

• Confirm the final guest count
• Send me your coordinator's and planner's contact details
• Confirm the balance date. The remainder is due on the day

A wedding day is unpredictable and I can't promise every frame on a wish list. What a list does is make sure the important ones are planned for rather than hoped for, which is most of the job.
